It is one of the most ancient medicinal plants in the world &#8211; already used by the Egyptians to fight infections and parasites. The plant contains <strong data-start=\"2453\" data-end=\"2500\">bitter substances, essential oils and flavonoids<\/strong> with documented effects against bacteria, fungi, inflammation and worms.<br data-start=\"2574\" data-end=\"2577\">The name <em data-start=\"2584\" data-end=\"2595\">Artemisia<\/em> comes from <strong data-start=\"2608\" data-end=\"2628\">the goddess Artemis<\/strong>, protector of women and goddess of the hunt. One evening I added <em>a tablespoon of freshly cooked elderberry jam<\/em> to my yogurt (made from coconut or cow&#8217;s milk) with some paleo granola, and drank <em>two cups of wormwood tea <\/em>that I had recently started.<br data-start=\"627\" data-end=\"630\">Shortly afterwards, my stomach started to move vigorously &#8211; it bubbled, roared and growled well into the night. The next morning there was a thorough cleansing of old material &#8211; probably biofilm and residues that had been left for a long time.  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"850\" data-end=\"1020\">As a person with a <strong data-start=\"868\" data-end=\"886\">sluggish Vata stomach<\/strong>, I had never experienced anything like this. After a few courses in two weeks, my stomach became more alive and well than ever! <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1022\" data-end=\"1206\">Now I do the Artemisia cure <strong data-start=\"1048\" data-end=\"1071\">1-2 times a week<\/strong>, sometimes just by putting some dried elderberries in the wormwood tea. The wormwood tea is also calming &#8211; perfect before bedtime. Several of the <strong data-start=\"1222\" data-end=\"1241\">fasting therapists<\/strong> I have trained have tried the cure with very good results. Some had strong cleansing, others less &#8211; which may be due to differences in bowel status and needs.   <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1388\" data-end=\"1562\">While I&#8217;m not recommending anything specific to anyone, I want to share <strong data-start=\"1475\" data-end=\"1501\">my own experience<\/strong> &#8211; because this was a discovery that really made a difference! &#8211; <strong>Did you know that constipation<\/strong> is a problem for many, especially in post-fertile women?
