Sana’s background
Sanna has a PhD in immunology and has worked for 13 years in biomedical research. She has spent half of her life working on health, self-healing, wellness, well-being and empowering the healthy. She has written numerous health books that have sold over a million copies in 10 countries, 11 of which she wrote over a 10-year period. When she wrote her first book, The Self-Healing Human, she was the first person in Sweden from the establishment to write about alternative paths to health and healing.
The question “what is it that allows you to heal?” is always with her and she says: “I love people and want everyone to be as healthy as possible. Nothing wakes us up as much as when our health is challenged. According to surveys, health is the number one priority for people around the world. But it’s not what people spend their time or money on. They spend their time working to earn money for all the things they tie up their money in. Sanna has been through a lot in life. She grew up with a sick mother and a hypochondriac father who was a scientist. Growing up, she saw many people succumb to illness and accidents. She saw those who healed even when it was not possible and also those who did not make it. From an early age, she had a keen interest in what it is that enables people to heal. She herself has been seriously ill for a period in her life and she lost her son at birth. She describes both periods as very difficult. But you should never give up, and her advice is to get help from those around you if you feel you can’t cope.
Stress or Bliss
According to Sanna, we are born with something we can make our mission in life and we can choose to refine it. We can welcome the challenges we are born with and use them to grow.

She believes in the power of thought. That thought and feeling are connected. Thoughts are difficult to control, but if we go through the emotions and follow which ones we should let go or not, we can influence our thoughts. Thoughts are our best tool. Your thoughts manifest your reality with the help of your emotions. An effective tool for de-stressing is
“I only put my energy into what I can influence”.
When it feels hard, you can stand wide-legged and say Stop, stop, let go and cross your arms in front of your body. Then you go down into the heart and pump with loving words. Repeat “love, light, joy, peace and harmony” for 2-3 minutes. Then you break down the negative. Words are energy and the brain perceives that you are happy. You break the negative spiral and enter a “Bliss state”. Focus on what is important to you. Ignore the rest! -“I only put my energy into what I can influence,” she says.

Sanna’s morning routine
Sanna starts her day with spiritual gymnastics in bed. She uses frequencies to remove bad energy from her body and then does a grounding exercise. Then she also lands physically. She brings her legs up and touches her knees to her ears, bends me over and kisses my knees. Then she does some situps, pushups and other exercises. This takes about 30 minutes. Now that it’s cold, she likes to drink green Sencha tea. She always takes a cold shower and uses pine oil and black cumin oil for her hair. She massages it into her scalp in the evening and sleeps with it. In the morning she rinses her hair with cold water and massages. The shock you get then gives a good blood circulation to the scalp. She usually showers her whole body cold for 3-4 minutes. If you want to start with this, she recommends that you start with 5 seconds, then turn off the water, count to 10 and turn it on again. This way you get your body used to it. Afterwards it is good to air dry. The blood circulation that starts after the shower keeps you warm.
Intestinal worms, SIBO and IBS
Sanna herself has struggled with health problems such as intestinal worms, Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). She got rid of these problems when she used the protocols she developed. She says that about half of all people have some form of intestinal worm and that the best thing to do is to simply rinse them out. Cloves and wormwood are also effective, as is a treatment she has developed called the Artemisia cure. It involves drinking wormwood tea and boiled elderberries, which are good for peristalsis (bowel movements). We have too much bacteria growing in the small intestine and they should not be there. The bifidus bacterium is a good bacterium but when you get too much of it, it forms harmful biofilms. It becomes toxic to us. What we need is the combination of lactic acid, bacteria and fiber. It’s found in yogurt, muesli and sauerkraut. If you have SIBO, you can do 1-2 salt water flushes and then use GutClear, which is a plant-based dietary supplement. SIBO can cause histamine intolerance, which in turn can cause allergic reactions. Sanna herself has lost weight and gained energy since she started fasting. Her deep sleep has also improved because of the toxins that are removed. 80 of the immune system is located in the gut and research shows that water fasting has antidepressant effects.

We need food breaks according to Sanna and we are not made to eat as much as we do. The body can’t keep up and many people walk around with 1-3 kilos of feces in their gut. Constipation is also very common in post-fertile women. The day before the fast, you prepare by stopping eating in the evening and doing an alkaline flush with epsom salts and bicarbonate of soda to soften what’s in your bowels.
In the morning, drink 1-1.5 liters of lukewarm water with sea salt (1.5 liters of water if you weigh over 80 kg). Take 2 tsp of salt per liter of water. It is important not to use table salt. You drink this and then rest for a while before your bowels empty. Then you take activated charcoal, which absorbs toxins, and vitamin C, which helps to cleanse. You can also drink fatty coffee (coffee mixed with coconut oil). The fat dissolves toxins. If you don’t like coffee, you can drink coconut oil in lukewarm water instead. -Water is also a medicine. -Water is magic. Water is the basis of life. Drink water!
I am 62 but celebrate 44 every year says Sanna. Research by Luigi Fontana, a professor at the University of Sydney, shows that if you have a healthy lifestyle with exercise and a proper nutritious diet, don’t eat a lot of processed food and do calorie restriction/fasting, you can live to be 100 years old but have the health of a 40-year-old.
Many people today do not have a waistline. Having a waist is a sign of health.

With fairly simple means, many can feel immensely better
Sanna says: “For anyone who wants to start fasting today, I recommend fasting groups. I train fasting therapists who give fasting groups. The fasting groups have a four-week program. You can’t just stop eating and drink water instead. Then you can feel really bad from the toxins in your gut. You need to take it gradually and the fasting therapists can do this. You need to start with a food fast. Then you can either eat only mung bean stew or only Carnivore (grass-fed beef, game or fish) for a week in preparation. Then you get familiar with bitters, chew more and eat smaller portions. After that, you can start water fasting.
If you have a relatively healthy lifestyle from the start, you can get started after a couple of weeks with a VASS fast. You need to take it more slowly if you have not exercised and so on. Then it may take eight weeks. What you eat today builds hormones that are with you for two months.
